LEAD 592 Workshop
Teacher: Shirley Weaver
This course allows guest users to enter  This course requires an enrollment key

This workshop is designed to
support school leaders’ use of technology as a tool to create rich learning
opportunities for school personnel. Using Howard Gardner’s framework in his
2004 Changing Minds book, students will create multimedia experiences
that could be used in school communities to foster learning, conversation, and
spaces for creative thinking around seemingly intransigent issues affecting
school improvement. We call these projects “multimedia experiences” rather than
“multimedia presentations” because the pedagogic goal is for the work to create
spaces for people to interact with content in ways that encourage construction
of new thinking around the issue presented.

We believe children should be raised in a family.

All too often we hear of children disrupting from homes and being placed in a treatment facility only to return to a family setting and have the same failure occur again and again. We call this the revolving door of treatment. We work to close that door.

In the three years we have been in business we have helped many children heal. We do this by teaching parents how to meet the needs of the child regardless of how that child communicates the need. Join us in this class to learn a bit about what informs our model of treatment so you too can make a difference in the life of a child.
